This Seattle home project completely reconfigured the ground floor to serve as an office by day and a family or guest space by night and weekends. Designed by architect SHED Architecture & Design, the project included elements such as fir plywood walls, custom steel desks and shelves, and a pegboard ceiling. Large aluminum sliders lead to the backyard, accompanied by a new second floor deck of steel grating and a cantilevered steel beam. Inside of the home, sliding panels and curtains allow the interiors to flow into one another, for an open and relaxed area.
